Our team is committed to improving the lives of young people with additional needs. We provide mentoring from a friendly team with a variety of qualifications and life experiences to support young people and their families.

Our mentoring plans have targets which are created with the young person and their family so there are goals to reach and accountability for everyone involved.

Mentoring can be invaluable for young people with additional needs to support them in navigating their way through life. Examples of successful SENDCARE mentoring have been:

  • supporting a young man with ADHD to overcome impulsivity in the community and understand what is socially acceptable

  • helping a young lady with extreme social anxiety to engage in fun activities in the community

  • supporting a young man with ADHD who has been involved in criminal activity to channel his energies into positive community activities

  • working alongside Youth Justice and PREVENT services to guide and mentor young people

  • coping strategies for neuro divergent teens from an autistic mentor
