Meet our Director

  • Jenna Bent - BA Hons, QTS, MEd, PGDip

    Jenna is autistic. She has been a teacher since 2002. She has taught in primary, secondary and specialist settings. She has been a Deputy Principal in a school for students with Learning Disabilities and Autism and a Head of School in a low secure psychiatric hospital. More recently, she worked as an adviser in London and is a highly specialist SEND tutor. During Covid, Jenna also worked for one year as a carer for the elderly where she gained the Care Certificate. In addition to a Masters degree in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, she has qualifications in safeguarding, child and adolescent harmful sexual behaviours, Teaching English as a Foreign Language and a Graduate Diploma in Ethnic Minority Achievement. She is in the research phase of a Doctoral degree where her interest is in discovering the mainstream experiences of students with hidden disabilities using sensory ethnography. Jenna will oversee the assessments and setting targets for specialist support workers.
